Fender Strat vs Gibson SG Comparison Demo

Here's how I’m comparing my Fender Stratocaster with my Gibson SG. I play a song I wrote called “The Rules.” l play one verse, pre-chorus, and chorus with the Fender Strat. Then I do the same with the Gibson SG.
After I do that, I solo the tracks outside of the mix so we can really hear what the two guitars sound like playing the same thing.
My Gibson SG is from 2008. I got it just after I started playing with Chubby Checker. His sound is so straight ahead rock n roll, the SG straight into a Marshall stack was perfect.
The SG pickups are the stock high gain ones, not the vintage. The pickups on the Fender Strat are not stock. I replaced all three with the Paul Gilbert prewired pick guard that included 2 DiMarzio Injecters in the neck and bridge, and an Area 67 in the middle.
These pickups are true single coil with hum cancelation. I wound up putting the pickups in my original pickgaurd because it’s was better, and fit better on my guitar.
The first sound I used was the UAD Fender 55 Tweed Deluxe plugin. I was able to get a really clean sound by plugging into the Mic input 2. On the Strat I start off with the neck pickup then toggle to the neck/middle position. On the SG I start off with the neck pickup then toggle to the middle position.
For the next sound I used the UAD Marshall Plexi Classic plugin. On the Strat I start off with the pickup in the middle position then toggle it to the middle/bridge position. On the SG I start off in the neck position then toggle to the middle position.
For the last sound I used the UAD ENGl Savage 120 plugin. On both guitars I start off in the neck position then into the bridge position.
