"The tritone is an interval of three whole steps and is found between the third and flat seventh of a dominant 7th chord." If you go down a half step, that's your 4 chord. If you go up a half step, that's your 5 chord 🧐 This is very helpful in targeting chord tones. These two notes (the 3rd and flat 7th) are crucial "guide tones" that define the sound of the dominant 7th chord.
