Harmonic Minor / Phrygian Dominant Scale Patterns and How To Use Them

Hello Cherries! The Harmonic minor scale is the same as a natural minor scale but with a raised seventh degree 🤨 For example, A natural minor (A-B-C-D-E-F-G) becomes A harmonic minor (A-B-C-D-E-F-G#) 🧐 Establish a minor key "Am" and then switching to the Phrygian dominant scale "same notes but starting on E" for the V7 (dominant) chord "E7 in this case" to create a sense of tension and release, resolving back to Am. That's the function of the Harmonic minor scale. The Phrygian Dominant mode on its own is very popular too, just ask Yngwie Malmsteen 🎸 In this video I'll show you how to use the scale and some speed patterns that will help you navigate across the fretboard 😊 Enjoy the video and have a great weekend Everybody ❤️
