Hello Cherries! Do you want to learn a cool jazzy outside sounding lick that works in all kinds of music? It's super easy too. This lick comes right out of the Altered Scale. Say you're in the key of C and your chord progression is Dm G7 CM7. You can play the C major scale over that whole thing but that's going to sound vanilla, very basic. Play the altered lick when the progression goes to G7. That's going to add some tension so that when the chord goes to C it will resolve nicely. In this video I play pretty much the same altered lick in 5 different positions. I follow the CAGED System playing the lick inside those 5 shapes. The idea is to see the intervals all over the fretboard but more importantly to hear them. Enjoy the video and have a great week Everybody.

Have you ever tried to find the Triads within the Pentatonic Shapes 🤨 Triads are groups of three notes (root, third, and fifth) 🧐 By identifying these triads, you can create more melodic and harmonic lines. In this ⬇️ NEW VIDEO ⬇️ I go through all 5 Major Pentatonic Positions, 1 string set at a time. Within these positions were going to play the Major Pentatonic Scale and find the triad within the string set. I offer a FREE PDF of all the graphs that I created for this video.
